Professional FREC Training Herefordshire - What Makes Us Different

You spend hundreds of pounds on a course, get your certificate, then... what? You're "qualified" but you've never actually helped a real patient. You have no mentor to guide you. No clear path forward. No way to earn money while you build experience. We've completely flipped this on its head.

Introducing the FREC Accelerator Pathway

Starting with zero experience, we'll take you through a structured 24-month journey that ends with you being a confident, experienced, and employable FREC 4 professional. But here's what makes us different: ✅ Option to earn while you learn - Paid event work from month one ✅ Personal mentorship - A qualified mentor guides you every step ✅ Real patient contact - Genuine experience, not just classroom theory ✅ Guaranteed pathway - FREC 3 → 118 hours CPD → FREC 4 → SALM ✅ Professional network - Join our established CQC registered event medical team ✅ All at our dedicated training centre in Leominster, Herefordshire Limited to just 6 people per cohort. Winter 2025 intake starting soon.

Your 24-Month Journey Explained

Months 1-3: Foundation & First Steps

Your FREC 3 Qualification Plus Immediate Opportunities
We start with your FREC 3 qualification at our Leominster training centre. But this is where we're completely different from other providers.
As soon as you're FREC 3 qualified, you'll begin your Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF) online content - this counts toward your CPD hours and covers essential skills every pre-hospital care professional needs.
Here's the exciting bit: You can start earning money immediately through event work with our team. It's completely optional - no pressure - but the opportunity is there from day one. Think of it as your "learner driver" phase - supervised, supported, but earning real money if you want to.

Months 4-6: Building Your CPD Portfolio

The 118-Hour Journey With Full Support
This is where most FREC students get stuck - finding meaningful CPD opportunities. Not you.
We'll actively support you to complete your full 118 hours of CPD through a combination of:
  • Continued CSTF online modules
  • Real patient contact through event work (if you're participating)
  • Additional training opportunities we arrange
  • Structured learning experiences
During this period, we'll also get you booked onto your FREC 4 course, so everything flows seamlessly into the next phase.

Months 7-9: Your FREC 4 Training

The Big Step Up
Now you're ready for FREC 4 - the qualification that really opens doors in pre-hospital care.
Our FREC 4 course isn't just about passing an exam. Our paramedic instructors work closely with you through every element, ensuring you truly understand the advanced concepts and feel confident applying them.

Months 10-21: Workbook Completion & Professional Development

12 Months of Ongoing Support
Here's something unique - we don't just hand you a workbook and wish you luck. You get a full 12 months of ongoing support to complete your FREC 4 workbook requirements.
Regular check-ins with your mentor, guidance on complex scenarios, help with documentation - whatever you need to get your full FREC 4 qualification completed properly.
Throughout this period, you'll continue to have access to paid event work opportunities as your skills and confidence grow.

Months 22-24: SALM Qualification & Career Launch

The Final Professional Touch
Within 6 months of completing your FREC 4 course, you'll undertake your SALM (Safe Administration of Lifesaving Medication) training - the final piece of your professional qualification puzzle.
SALM certification allows you to administer lifesaving medications like adrenaline, salbutamol, and naloxone - skills that open doors to higher-level roles and better-paid opportunities in pre-hospital care.
By month 24, you're not just qualified - you're experienced, confident, and ready for whatever comes next in your pre-hospital care career.

Common Questions

"Do I need any medical experience?" Not at all. We've designed this specifically for complete beginners. Our "zero to hero" approach starts from the very basics. "How much can I earn from the paid work?" This varies depending on the type of event and your level of qualification. As you progress through the program, you'll have access to better-paid opportunities. "What if I can't complete an element of the training?" We offer one free resit for any failed component, plus additional mentoring support. Our pass rate is 98% - we're committed to your success. "Can I fit this around my current job?" Absolutely. The program is designed to be flexible. Many participants work part-time or have other commitments. "What happens after I complete the program?" You'll have ongoing opportunities with our events team, plus the qualifications and experience to pursue other pre-hospital care careers.
